Week 3 · Day 18
Rescue vs. keep naps
Protect daytime sleep
Today's lesson
A short nap leads to overtiredness. If a nap is under 45 minutes, use an emergency nap — a stroller walk, carrier, or contact nap — to get baby to the next sleep window without becoming overtired.
Your action steps
- If a nap is short, add a rescue nap within 30 minutes.
- Keep rescue naps to 20–30 minutes.
- Don't let one bad nap ruin the whole day.
