Extend the first nap
Morning nap sets the tone
Today's lesson
The first nap is usually the easiest to lengthen. When baby wakes at the 30- or 45-minute mark, try to resettle them back to sleep before getting them up. Pat, shush, or offer brief touch.
Your action steps
- Wait 2–5 minutes before intervening at a short nap.
- Try to resettle for 10–15 minutes before ending the nap.
- Keep the room dark and quiet during resettling.
