Use a wake-to-sleep method

Prevent habitual wakes

Today's lesson

If your baby wakes at the exact same time every night, gently rouse them 10–15 minutes before that time for a few nights. This can reset the habitual waking pattern.

Your action steps

  • Identify the habitual wake time.
  • Gently stir baby 10–15 minutes before it.
  • Do this for 3–5 nights, then stop.

Pro tip

Use this only for predictable, recurring wakes.
